Welcome Back to 2017-2018

In a few short weeks another school year will begin. Whether we are ready or not, August 23rd will soon arrive.  In visiting with teachers, parents and even some of the students, you can begin to sense that anticipation and excitement that comes with the start of a new year.  As always for some it is the first time to pass through our doors and for others it shall be the last time to start a new year. Regardless, we are committed to providing the best learning opportunities possible within the resources we have.

I look forward to the possibilities the 2017-2018 school year holds for each and every one of us.

One of the crucial steps in preparing for any school year is the registering of students.  As a district, we continually work to add flexibility for parents/guardians to the process, while also making it more efficient and less costly for the district.  We recognize that every approach does not work for everyone and therefore offer options intended to meet a variety of needs and preferences. You will find key points to the 2017-2018 school registration below.

    • All information necessary to prepare your student and you for the 2017-2018 school year and to prepare for the completion of the E-Registration process is found to the right.
    • All documents are downloadable should you desire to save or  print a copy of specific documents.
    • The location of menus is dependent upon the device you are using.  Menus are to the right on a computer and below on a phone.
    • Links to translate the website or a PDF document to Spanish or Chinese are found at the bottom of each page.
    • Should you desire the district to provide a print copy of specific documents or the entire packet, please feel free to contact or visit the District Office.

  • Student Registration Completed through Infinite Campus E-registration.
    • The links for both new families and existing families are found in the first menu.
    • Existing families may also log into the Parent Portal and follow the link from there.
  • Numerous Policies and Procedures To Be Reviewed
    • You, as well as, your 5th through 12th grade students, will be asked to acknowledge review and agreement of policies pertaining to them.
    • 9th-12th grade students will be asked to complete the Physical Activity Contract as part of the registration process
  • Completing Online Registration
    • You may complete online registration at any time.  We ask that you please do your best to complete it on or before August 8th.
    • You may pay fees through the parent portal of Infinite Campus at any time.
      • If your student is eligible for a fee waiver or reduction, the Free and Reduced Meal Application will need to be completed and filed before the fees charge is changed.
        • Please consider completing your application early and bringing it into the district office, so we may process it in a timely manner.
      • Protective goggles or hearing devices  will need to be paid for through the high school office
      • Parking Permits may be paid online, but will be distributed during Back to School Night on August 22nd.
      • If you have forgotten your parent portal username and passwords, please feel free to contact the school or district offices.
  • On-site registration – Tuesday, August 8th from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm
    • You may choose to go to any of the schools to complete the registration process and pay fees for all of your students, regardless of the building they attend.
    • Building staff will be dedicated to helping you with E-Registration as well as to collect fees on this day.
    • We ask that you appreciate the limited time our staff has to prepare for the opening of school by working to honor this  designated time of 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 8th.
      • If it is not at all possible, please contact the building office to arrange a time that is mutually convenient for all.
  • Student Schedules
    • Secondary student section rosters will be dynamic until near August 15th due to finalizing schedules and due to the arrival and departure of students.
    • Strawberry Hill class assignments which reflect the homeroom teacher will not be released until August 15
    • Student Schedules and assignments are viewable and downloadable through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
